Trinity River Corridor Planning and Development Group

The mission of the Trinity River Corridor Planning and Development Department is to facilitate the revitalization of the Trinity River Corridor through:

  1. coordination of activities to implement the Trinity River Corridor Comprehensive Land Use Plan;
  2. assistance to property owners on specific development projects; and
  3. promotion of development opportunities in the corridor.

The primary function of our office is to facilitate new development throughout the vast Trinity River Corridor Planning area, which is compatible with the public improvements planned within and around the floodway in order to meet the following Trinity River Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2050 Vision objectives:

  1. Reconnect North and South Dallas
  2. Establish role of economic development along the Trinity River
  3. Create a vibrant central city
  4. Establish the role of the Trinity River floodplain as the front yard of the city
  5. Enhance the City’s urban form to increase the appeal of urban life

July 7, 2009, the CPC Trinity River Corridor Ad Hoc Committee and the Urban Design Advisory Committee continued a series of community meetings in the Oak Cliff Gateway.

Participants at the meeting were asked to provide input into what they would like to see for the future of the Oak Cliff Gateway. Results of the second Visioning Exercise are being analyzed to develop a revised future land use map to be considered as an amendment to the Trinity River Corridor Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

January 13, 2009, the CPC Trinity River Corridor Ad Hoc Committee and the Urban Design Advisory Committee continued a series of community meetings in the Oak Cliff Gateway.

Participants at the meeting were asked to provide input into what they would like to see for the future of the Oak Cliff Gateway.
