Trinity Watershed Management Hosts The Great Seed Bomb

In 2018, thousands of native plants and seeds have already been planted or sown in the Trinity River Corridor through the efforts of  organizations such as The Great Seed Bomb. Recently, a workshops were held at the Elm Fork, Ronald Kirk Bridge and MLK Library.

Trinity Watershed Management hosted a planting for volunteers in the Trinity Forest near a bridge over the river. The area is a rich and diverse environment for plants and wildlife.  It's perfect for habitat restoration which is being done to bring back the native Blackland Prairie once covering this area of Texas.  The blooming plants that result from this work, provide food for wildlife and insects such as bees and other pollinators. It restores the beauty of the land and teaches visitors about nature. Follow us @mytrinityriver!
