Trinity Watershed Management Engineer Receives Patriot Award

Senior Project Manager Steve Parker with the City of Dallas Trinity Watershed Management Department (TWM), was presented the Texas Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve's (TXESGR) Patriot Award on December 10, 2015 by TXESGR Area 10 member Phung Tram.  He was nominated by Aerik Santillan Army Reservist and Service Agent for TWM. The  Patriot Award is given to supervisors and bosses who provide support directly to a nominating Service Member and their flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment and granting leaves or absences. Mr. Santillan has accumulated 7 overseas service bars for 42 cumulative months served in a combat zone.

U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Sign Record of Decision (ROD)

U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Sign Record of Decision (ROD) Jo-Ellen Darcy, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, signed the Modified Dallas Floodway Project Record of Decision. This is a major milestone in advancing the Corps' and City's partnership in reducing flood risk and supporting the City's Balanced Vision Plan for the Trinity River Corridor Project.

Join the T.R.U.E. Team

Trinity Watershed Management is looking for volunteers to become part of the Trinity River Urban Environment (T.R.U.E.) Team. Members will get a chance to be outdoors and help continue the mission of restorative work in the Trinity River corridor, learn about the important natural resources in Dallas and have a chance to express their creativity, too.
